Introducing more staff for winter 2016/17!

05/11/2016 | Anna Ross

We have been busy over the summer putting together the best team to run our operations in Meribel this season. All our chalet staff are keen skiers and snowboarders, amazing cooks and all-round lovely people. Some are returning for second or third seasons with us and bringing this experience and passion for what we do to your ski holiday with us. This week we are focussing on the most important people in the operation - the ones who cook your food, Ben and Debbie:

Chalet Host - Ben

Ben is a qualified snowboard instructor and season-junkie, having done an incredible five seasons in Canada. He is also an experienced chalet host and we are so happy he has chosen to swap the beautiful mountains of Canada for Meribel to work for us this year.

I went on holiday with a friend before I did seasons. We went in spring and it was super slushy with puddles everywhere. The was a huge puddle 1 foot deep the size of a pond just in front of one of the lift stations. Jack (my friend) and I were unofficially racing to the lift station. He started to go around the puddle so I thought I'd skim across the puddle and snake him at the last second. I didn't realise there was a huge lift queue net right in the middle of the puddle. Anyway I went straight into the net, bounced off, landed in the puddle looked up to see my mate the lift attendant crying with laughter.

Chalet Chef - Debbie

Multi-talented Debbie is not only a gifted chef but a great singer-songwriter so will be bringing her guitar out to the chalets in Meribel this winter. Also a keen surfer, she runs her own mobile catering van over the summer down in Cornwall, specialising in amazing breakfasts and brunches. She has been helping to develop our new menus and we know she will fit in with our team perfectly!
